Great question! Let’s get familiar with this role. Think of any in-office assistant: A Secretary at an accountants office, a Medical Assistant, an Admin Assistant at a school, an Office Assistant at a marketing agency >>> Most of the tasks these assistants do… a Virtual Assistant does as well.
The main differences are:
A Virtual Assistant works from home instead of in an office
A Virtual Assistant communicates with their clients via email and chat
A Virtual Assistant is self-employed, so they do not work for an employer, they pay their own taxes, they make their own schedule, etc.
A Virtual Assistant can make at least twice as much as most in-office assistants
