We get it! We've been there and we created Laptop + Littles to make sure other moms don't get stuck in the either/or option. Our co-founder, Ariel started working from home as a Virtual Assistant in 2013 when her first born was about 6 months old. She had just finished her Bachelors, moved to a new city with her husband and started applying for local jobs. She felt increasingly more anxious around leaving her son at childcare in a town where she knew no one to go into an office. So she started googling things like "assistant that works virtually" and discovered the Virtual Assistant role. Over her career, Ariel has worked as an Executive Assistant, Admin, Project Manager, Marketing Specialist, Partner Manager and worn so many other hats along the way. Her pay has ranged from working hourly at $20/hr to billing for monthly retainers at $50/hr to full-time salaries. All from home!
